With an enrollment over 4,000 students, that ratio gives you a good chance of getting a superb and individualized education.
3. St. Leo University – Tuition: $17,500 per year. Room/Board: $10,075 per year. With a student population over 14,000, St. Leo’s offers over 41 different programs of study. Richmond is home to one of St. Leo’s many continuing education centers, which easily allow adults to continue their higher education degrees.
4. Virginia Commonwealth University – Tuition: in-state $6,885 per year, out-of-state $19,604 per year. Room/Board: $6,029 per year. As the third largest research university in Virginia, VCU offers a wide range of programs to its student population of over 32,000. Their colors are black and gold, and their mascot is the ram.

This state-assisted, co-educational university provides a private education at the cost of a public one. They offer more than one hundred different areas of study. The Princeton Review named it one of the Best Southeastern Colleges.
9. Christopher Newport University – Tuition: in-state $351 per credit hour, out-of-state $681 per credit hour. An up-and-coming university, CNU was founded in 1992 and is still building a history for itself. 4,800 students attend Christopher Newport University with over 33 major areas of study.
10. Richard Bland College – Tuition: in-state $3,284 per year, out-of-state $12,394 per year. Room: $9,150 per year. As a junior college, RBC offers a two year program with the opportunity to transfer to four years. An affiliate of William and Mary College, RBC enrolls approximately 1,500 students.
